It is very impor tant that you read and understand the contents of this manual thoroughly before installing or using the equipment.
4 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Introduction A uger Unit (Figure 2) The auger unit contains the evaporator barrel, auger rotor , gearbo x, motor, w ater reservoir , and expansion de vice. The unit comes with quic k connect refr iger ant fittings and is pre-charged with refrigerant from the f actor y .
5 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Installation INST ALLA TION This section covers installation procedures for your ice making system. Please read the manual completely before attempting to install any equipment. Choosing the Correct V oltage Equipment The v oltage rating of a unit is a nominal r ating.
6 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Installation Installing the Ice Level Sensor Use Figure 5 to determine placement for the Ice Level Sensor . The sensor must be located below the ice delivery hole and to the side, per Figure 5. Drill 23/32" hole f or sensor .

The w ater reservoir has a float switch to ensure that the unit does not operate without water supply . W ater Quality No water which comes from m unicipalities is ‘pure’ water .
8 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Installation Seawater Pump Centrifugal pumps are not self-priming, and must be mounted so that they are below the heeled waterline in any giv en operating condition. The pump should be accessible for future service. Mount the pump so that the outlet is directed upward.

11 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Operation Charging the System 1) Remove line from vacuum pump, and connect to a bottle of R134a. The charge should be weighted in b y placing the bottle on a refrigerant scale. 2) T ur n the bottle upside do wn, and purge the charge hose at the gage set.
12 Y Y Y Y Y English L-2448B Operation W ater Filter Change the filter at least twice per year , or ev ery 1500 gallons, whiche ver comes first. The correct filter will help prevent clogging of the float valve, and scale buildup within the e vaporator chamber .
