6 Clear the W ork Area • Spectators and fellow workers must be warned, and children and animals prevented from coming nearer than 15 m (50 ft.) while the unit is in use. Use Proper Clothing & Equipment • Always wear head protection with full face shield to help protect against falling branches and debris.

8 c o n t e n t s The ECHO product you purchased has been factory pre-assembled for your convenience. After opening the carton, check for damage. Immediately notify your retailer or ECHO Dealer of damaged or missing parts. Use the contents list to check for missing parts.

10 NOTE The discharge volume of the automatic oiler is preset to deliver 3 to 4 cc/min. at normal operating RPM. During heavy or dry cutting conditions the oil discharge volume may be adjusted to assure ad- equate lubrication. Rell the oil reservoir with each tank of fuel.

Always disconnect spark plug wire before servicing guide bar and saw chain.
14 T o Adjust Saw Chain T ension. T ools Required: 10 mm W rench, Screwdriver W ARNING Always wear gloves when handling saw chain, otherwise serious personal injury may result. 1. Loosen two guide bar nuts (A), if necessary . 2. T urn saw chain tensioner screw (B) clockwise to tighten saw chain on guide bar .
