Operation The top oven The top oven is the smaller of the t wo ovens. It is heated by elements in the top and bot- tom of the oven. It is designed for cookin g smaller quantities of food. It gives especially good results if used to cook fruitcakes, sweet and savoury flans or quiche.

How to use the Baking Tables • The tables give the require d temperature settings, cooking times and oven levels for a selection of typical dishe s. • Temperatures and baking times are for guidance only, as these will depend on the consistency of pastry, dou gh or mixture, the amount and the type of baking tin.
• There should always be at least 2.5cm (1”) between the top of th e food and the ele- ment. This gives best cookin g results an d allows room for rise in yeast mixtur es, Yorkshire puddings etc. When cooking cakes, pastry, scones bread etc., place the tins or baking tr ays centrally on the shelf.

After long periods of use, the catalytic coating may become slightly discol- oured. This has no effect on the catalytic properties. Side rails The side rails on the right and left-hand side of the oven interior can be removed for the purpose of cleanin g the side walls.

Cleaning inside the grill and oven compartments The vitreous enamel co ating in the grill/top oven and main oven compartments can be cleaned using normal oven cleaners with care. Ensure that the manu facturers instructions are followed and that all parts are well rinsed afterwards.
