9 GENERAL NOTES ON USING Y OUR APPLI A NCE W e suggest that you run the oven elements for 10 – 15 minutes at 220 o C to burn off any residue from their surf aces. T he procedure s hould be repe ated with the grill for appr oxim ately 5 – 10 minut es.

The grill is a dual circ uit grill which m eans that the full ar ea of the gri ll can be us ed or for econom y purposes, the centre sec tion onl y can be us ed when cook ing sm aller quant ities of food.

Br ush lean m eats and f ish lightl y with a little oil or melted but ter to keep them m oist during cooking.
19 USES OF THE T OP OVEN The top oven is the sm aller of the two ovens . It is heate d by elem ents in the top and bo ttom of the ov en. It is designed f or cook ing smaller quantit ies of food. I t gives especiall y good r esults if us ed to c ook fruit c akes, sweet or savour y flans or qu iche.

21 USES OF THE FA N OVEN PREHE A T ING The fan oven quic kly reaches its tem perature, so it is not us ually nec essary to pr eheat th e oven. W ithout preheati ng however, you ma y find you need to ad d an extra 5 – 10 m inutes o n the recomm ended cook ing t imes.

27 HINTS AND TIPS TO REDUCE HOB SOILAGE: · Make sure the bottom of the saucepan and the cook ing area are clean and dry before c ooking begins. · Ensure sa ucepans ar e large en ough to accomm odate food to a void boil o vers. · If possible, wipe up spil ls and spla tters as the y occur, but t ake car e to avoid steam burns.

29 CLEANING BETWEEN THE OUTER AND INNER DOOR GLASS The outer d oor glass is rem ovable for c leaning. TO R E MOVE THE OUTER GLA SS 1. Open the o ven door s lightl y to gain access to t he two cross head screws o n the top of the oven door. 2. Loosen the two scr ews usi ng a Pozidr ive screwdri ver.
