9 C. Location C A UTION 1 . This icemaker is not int ended for outdoor use . Nor mal operating ambient temper atur e should be within 45°F t o 1 00°F (7°C to 38°C); Nor mal operating wat er temperatur e should be within 45°F to 90°F (7°C to 32°C).
1 0 5) Install the bin contr ol thermostat as f ollows: a. Remov e the baf f le fr om the bin. b . Remo v e the tie secur ing the bin control thermostat assemb l y . R emov e the 2 thumbscre ws. c. Remov e the bin control thermostat assembl y from the shipping hook b y lif ting it up and shif ting it to the right.

1 2 7) Remo ve the tie securing the upper unit's bin control thermostat assembl y . 8) Remo ve the bin contr ol thermostat assembl y from the shipping hook by lif ting it up and shif ting it to the right. 9) Remo ve the thermostat bulb at tachment (plastic) of the upper unit fr om the thermostat e xt ension brac ket (stainless).

1 5 2. W at er -Cooled Condenser a) Connection to an Open Dr ain Sy stem • Condenser w at er suppl y inlet is 1/2" f emale pipe thread (FPT). A minimum of 3/8" nominal copper wat er tubing is recommended f or the condenser water suppl y line.
1 6 b) Connection to a Closed Loop S yst em • Condenser w at er suppl y inlet is 1/2" f emale pipe thread (FPT). A minimum of 3/8" nominal copper wat er tubing is recommended f or the condenser water suppl y line. • Condenser r etur n outlet is 3/8" FPT .

If the icemaker is tur ned of f , w ait f or at least 3 minut es befor e restar ting the icemaker t o pre vent damage t o the compr essor .
1 9 CL OSED Normal Icemaking Operation OPEN Cleaning and Sanitizing Operation (allows solution ow t o the inside of the evapor ator) III. Cleaning and Maintenance This icemaker m ust be cleaned and maintained in accor dance with the instr uction manual and labels pr o vided with the icemak er .
20 1 . Cleaning P r ocedur e 1) Dilute 27 . oz. (800 ml) of Hoshizaki "Scale A wa y" with 5 gal. (1 9 l) of war m w at er . 2) Remo ve all ice fr om the e vaporat or and the storage bin. Note: T o r emov e cubes on the ev aporat or , tur n of f the power suppl y and tur n it back on af ter 3 minut es.
21 22) Mov e the control s witch to the "W ASH" position. 23) Replace the fr ont panel in its correct position. 24) T ur n on the power suppl y to rinse of f the cleaning solution. 25) T ur n of f the po wer suppl y aft er 5 minutes . 26) Remo ve the fr ont panel and the insulation panel.
22 B. Maintenance This icemaker m ust be maintained individuall y , ref erring to the instruction manual and labels pro vided with the icemaker . W ARNING 1 . Only quali ed ser vice technicians should at tempt to service this icemaker . 2. Disconnect power bef ore ser vicing .
23 2. Drain the w at er tank: 1) T ur n of f the po wer suppl y , then r emov e the front panel. Mov e the control s witch t o the "OFF" position. 2) Remo ve the insulation panel. Remo v e the drain plug locat ed on the lower fr ont par t of the ice chute .
