This system allows you to easily upgrade your vehicle's existi ng Jensen CDC ready audio system to include a quality CD entertainment function.

CH1002 3 Prepar ation (continued) Transpo rt Lock Screws The mechanism in the CD changer is " locked" in to place during shipment by transport screws. Be sure to remove the screws prior to installation. Retain these screws for future use when transporting the unit for service/maintenance .
CH1002 4 7. Be careful not to snag any wires when tightening screws. 8. This unit cannot be installed on its side, end, or upside down. Installation in such positions will cause malfunctioni ng of the mechanism. Choosing a Location Select a location for the CD cha nger that: • Provides sufficient ventilation.
CH1002 5 Installation IMPORT ANT : Incorrect inst allation can cause the CD chang er to “skip.” Mount the unit firmly in place using supplied brackets and screws. The unit can be installed horizontally , vertically , at a 45° angle, or suspended.
CH1002 6 Metal Surface a. S tick t he supplied double-sided tape to t he bottom of the mounting bases (B) and peel off the paper backing. b. Drill holes for the self- tapping screws (T5x12). c. Install self-t apping screws to secure the mounting base to the metal.
CH1002 7 Installation (continued) V ertical Installation 1. Make sure the anti-vibration springs are set to position "90". 2. Attach a bracket (A) bracket to each side of the unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounti ng base (B) using the hexagonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.

Attach a bracket (A) to each side of t he unit using the machine scre ws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounting base (B) using the hexagonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.

CH1002 11 Installation (continued) Suspended Installation 1. Make sure the anti-vibration springs are set to position "0". 2. Attach a bracket (A) to each side of t he unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Determine the mounting location for the unit.
CH1002 12 Wi ri n g IMPORT ANT : Incorrect wiring connections can damage the u nit. Follow the wiring instructions carefully, or have the installation handled b y an experienced technician. Connecting the Data Cable The 15-foot data cable connects the CD changer to the radio.
CH1002 13 Loading the CD Changer Inserting Compact Dis cs in the Magazine 1. Grip the tab on the magazine tray into wh ich you will be loading a disc and pull it out gently . Pull out only one tray at a time. 2. Insert a disc into the tray with the label side up (play surface facing down).
CH1002 14 Loading the CD Chan ger (continued) Loading the Magazine into t he CD Changer 1. Slide the door on the changer completely to the right. 2. Making sure the top of the magazine is facing upward, gently inser t it into the unit until it clicks into place.
