22 Operation GB Operation The hob The hob is equipped with an induction cooking mode. An induction coil underneath the glass cer amic hob generates an electromagnet ic alternating fi eld which penetrat es the glass ceramic and induces the heat -generating cur rent in the pot base .

24 Operation GB Operating the keys The controls described her e expect the pressing of a (selection) key to be followed by the pressing of a subsequent ke y. The next key will n eed to be pr essed within 10 se conds , otherwise the selection will be deleted.
Operation GB 25 Locking The lock can be used to lock key operation and cooking level settings. Only the off key can be used t o switch the hob off. Activating the lock (while cooking): 1. Press the Lock key to acti vate functio n. The cont rol lamp a bove the lock key will light up.
26 Operation GB Automatic switch-off (timer) The automatic sw itch-off device i s used to automaticall y switch off any cooking zone after a sti pulated period of time. Cooking t imes ranging from 1 minute to 99 minutes can be set. 1. Switch on the hob.
