1. Turn off the power supply . Using a 10 Ω , 10 W resistor, connec t both ends of power supply capaci tors (C571 - 574, 558) in order to discharge the voltage .
The laser diodes in the traverse deck (optica l pickup) may break down due to potential difference caused by static electricity of clothes or human body. So, be carefu l of electrostatic breakdown during repair of the traverse deck (optical pickup ). 4.

9 Checking Procedure for Self-opera tion of Cassette Mechanis m Ass’y • This proced ure descri bes simple methods indepe ndent of mecha nism contro ller or govern or circuit. 9.1. Operation Check Providing with Cassette Tape 1. Push up the EJECT lever with rubber band.
