10 CHOKE The C H OK E hel ps to s upply fuel t o t he engine to aid in cold starting. Activate the choke by m o v i n gt h ec h o k el e v e r t ot h eF U L LC H O K E position. After th e engine a ttempts to s tart, move the c hok e lev er to the HALF CH O KE posit ion.
11 Muf fler Chok e Lever Start er Handle Primer Bulb 1. S et unit on a flat sur fac e. 2. Mov e ON/ OFF sw itc h to the ON position. 3. S lowly press the primer bulb 6 times. 4. Mov e c hok e lev er to FU LL C HO KE by aligning lever with pos ition s hown on de- cal ( see illus trat ion below).

13 S Watch out for br anc hes immedia tely behind the branc h being pr uned. If t he ch ain hits t he rear br anc h, damage t o the unit may oc c ur. S Be alert for s pringbac k . Watch out for branc hes that are bent or under pr ess ure. Avoid being s truc k by the branch or the pruner when the t ension in the wood fibers is releas ed.

17 8. P lace chain ov er s proc k et, fitting the driv e link s in the s proc k et. 9. F it bottom of d riv e link s between the teeth in the s proc ket in the nos e of t he guide bar . 10. Fit chain driv e link s into bar gr oove. 1 1. Pull guide bar f orwar d until chain is snug in guide bar groov e.
