Club Managers should ensure that members and fitness staff are trained to follow these same instructions.

U NPACKING Position the shipping carton so the “Heav y E nd” logo is located at the bottom.

Install th e Back Leg Place the back le g in position at the re ar of the cycle, aligning the two holes in the leg with the mati ng holes in the fram e bracket. Insert two 8mm x 70mm bolts through the frame bracket and back leg, and install a flat w asher and nut on each bolt.
Page 6 STAR TRAC GROUP CYCLES OWNER’S GUIDE 5. Install the Handlebar Insert the handlebar post into the frame assembly and secure in place using a tension handle. Position the handlebar on top of the handlebar post and secure in pl ace using a tension handle and washer.

If parts are missing, or if you have any operational questions, please ca ll Star Trac’s Serv ice department at (800) 50 3- 1221; have your serial number ready.

Install the Handlebar NXT Only Positioning the handlebar post with the number 1 on top and insert the handlebar into the handlebar sleeve locking it at number 4. Slide the handlebar onto the handlebar post insert with the water bo ttle holders facing forward and align the three screw holes .

Page 14 STAR TRAC GROUP CYCLES OWNER’S GUIDE HANDLEBAR ADJUSTMENTS Proper position for the hand lebar is based primaril y on comfort. Typica lly, the hand lebar should be positioned slightly higher than the seat. All group cycles allow for adjustment of handlebar height.

Page 17 STAR TRAC GROUP CYCLES OWNER’S GUIDE Inspection / Adjustment Inspect major moving parts that require cons tant proper torque. Loose or misadjusted pa rts can result in personal injur y or dam age to the cycle. Check the following parts for security and/or proper torque.
Page 18 STAR TRAC GROUP CYCLES OWNER’S GUIDE Drive Chain Lubrication The drive chain will require lubri cation once a month, or after ev ery 100 hours of use. Th e chain should be lubricated with a l ight oil (preferably a lubricant that com es with a spray hose th at fits in front of the can) and a dry clean towel.

Tighten the two bolts th at go through th e frame, moving the flywheel forward by turning clockw ise, until there is a pproximately 3/16” of slack in the chain (Diagram B). 4. Re-tighten the two bolts on the sides of the fl ywheel and replace th e chain shrouding.
