3 RANGE SAFETY The An ti- Tip Bra cket The range will not tip during normal use. However , the range can tip if you apply too much force or weight to the open door wit hout havi ng th e anti-t ip bracke t fasten ed do wn pro perly .

7 ■ Use flat-bott omed cookware for best heat conducti on and energy ef ficiency . Cookware with rounded, warped, ri bbed or dented bo ttoms could cause u neven heatin g and poor cooking results. ■ Determin e flatness by pl acing the straigh t edge of a ruler across the bottom of the cookware.

9 Fahr enheit and Celsius The temperature is factory p reset to Fahrenheit, but can be changed t o Celsius. 1. Press SETTINGS once. “TEMP UNIT” appe ars in the upper te xt area while “Fahrenh eit press (^) f or Cel sius” w ill s croll t wice from right to left in the lower text area.
10 12-Hour Auto Of f The oven contr ol is set to automati cally sh ut of f the ove n 12 hours after the oven turn s on. This will not interfere wit h an y timed or delayed cook f unction. T o Cancel 12-Hour Auto Off: 1. Press SETTINGS nine times un til “12 Hr AUTO_OFF” appears in the upp er text area and “ON.
11 OVEN USE Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is u sed the first few times, or when it is heavi ly soile d. IMPORT AN T : The health of some bi rds is extremely sensi tive to the f umes g ive n of f . Exposu r e to t he f umes may r esult in dea th to certain birds.
12 BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot air must be able t o circulate. Allow 2" ( 5.0 c m) of space around bakeware and oven wal ls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Bakeware The bakeware mat erial affects cooking r es ults. Follow manufacturer’ s recommendations and use t he b akeware size recommended in the recipe.
13 T o Ba ke or Roast: 1. Press the BAKE keypa d for desired oven. “BAKE” will scroll in the upp er or lower text area (depen ding on oven select ion ), and 350°F (1 75°C) will be d is played. Afte r 3 seconds, “ Set temp or ” wi ll scroll i n the s el e ct ed o ve n text area, follow ed by “Push ST ART .
14 BROILING CHART It is not nec essary to prehea t ov en(s) when broiling. Times are guide lines only and may need to be adj usted for indi vidual ta st es. T urn meat halfway through cooking time. Recommen ded rack positions are numbered from the bo ttom (1) to the top (5 ).
15 ■ When roasting poultry and meat , use a broiler pan and grid. It is not n e ces sary to wai t for the oven to pr eheat, un less recommended in the recipe.
16 2. Press the T emp/Time “up ” or “down” arrow pads to adjust the tempera ture by 5°F (3°C) increments until the de sired temperat u re is displayed.
17 Start T ime Start Time allows the oven(s) to c ook for a set length of time. It allows the oven(s) to be se t to turn on at a certain t i me of day . Start Time s hould not be u sed for food such as b reads and cakes because t hey may not bake properly .
18 RANGE CARE Self-C leaning Cycle (on some mo del s) IMPORT AN T : The health of some bi rds is extremely sensi tive to the fumes give n off during the Sel f-Cleaning cyc le. Exposure to the fume s may result in death to certain birds. Always m ove birds to another clos ed an d well-venti lated room.
19 T o Delay Start Self-Clea n: Before delay starti ng Self-Clean, make sure t he oven door is completel y cl osed or it will not lock and the cyc le will not begin. 1. Press ST ART TIME. “PRESS (^) FOR UPPER OV EN” will scrol l in the upper tex t area, and “PRESS ( ) FOR LOWER OVEN ” w ill scroll in t he lower text area.
20 Gener al Cleani ng IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the oven and cookt op are cool. Always f o llow label in structions on cle ani ng produc ts. Soap, wat er and a sof t cloth or sponge are su ggested first unless otherwise noted.
21 OVEN CA VITY Do not use oven cleaners . Food spills should be cleaned when ov en cools. At high temperatures, f oods react w ith porcelain and st aining, e tching, pittin g or faint wh ite spots can r esult. Cleaning Method: ■ Sel f-Cl eaning cycle : See “ Self-Cle aning C ycl e” f irst.
22 TROUBLESHOOTING T ry the solut ions suggested here first in order to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call. Nothing will operate ■ Is the power sup ply cord unplug ged? Plug into a gr ounded outlet. ■ Has a household fuse blown, or h as a circuit br eaker tripped? Replace th e fu se or reset the circuit breaker .
23 Oven cooking results no t what expected ■ Is the range level? Level the ran ge. See th e In stalla tion Instruct ions. ■ Is the proper temp erature set? Double- check the recipe in a reliab le cookbook. ■ Is the proper o ven temperature calibration set? See “Oven T emperat ure Control” section.
