—3— 1. PREF A CE This ser vice manual provides v arious ser vice inf or mation, including the mechanical and electr ical par ts, etc. This room air conditioner was manuf actured and assembled under a strict quality control system. The refrigerant is charged at the f actory .
—4— 1.3 LOCA TIONS OF CONTROLS 1.4 SAFETY PRECA UTIONS 1. When se r vicing, turn the unit Off and unplug the p o w er cord. 2. Obser ve the original lead dress. If a shor t circuit is found, replace all parts which have been ov erheated or damaged by the shor t circuit.
— 5 — 2. DISASSEMBL Y INSTR UCTIONS 2.1 MECHANICAL P AR TS 2.1.1 FRONT GRILLE 1. Pull the inlet grille f orw ard. 2. Remov e the screw securing the F ront Gr ille. (Fig. 3) 3. Push the grille up from the bottom and pull the top of the grille aw a y from the case to lift the top tabs out of their slots.

The other is Ineff ective Air Con- ditioning caused b y a de f ect in the ref r ige r ation circuit and/or improper application.
