2 — English Safety Guidelines This manual contains information that is very important to know and understand. This information is provided for SAFETY and to PREVENT EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. T o help recognize this information, observe the following symbols.
English — 3 INTRODUCTION Dear Customer , Congratulations on your choice to buy a Husqvarna product! Husqvarna is based on a tradition that dates back to 1689, when the Swedish King Charles XI ordered the construction of a factory on the banks of the Husqvarna River , for production of muskets.

English — 5 FREQUENTL Y ASKED QUESTIONS How do I start my pr essur e washer? 1. Make sure you have gas and oil in the engine. 2. T urn the water on, then squeeze the trigger on the gun to make sure the water will flow smoothly out of the nozzle or tip.
6 — English SAFETY GUIDELINES Important Safety Instructions SA VE THESE INSTRUCTIONS The engine exhaust from this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer , birth defects or other repr oductive harm.
English — 7 SAFETY GUIDELINES • Use only the nozzle supplied with this machine. • NEVER leave the wand unattended while the machine is running. • NEVER tamper with the engine governor or attempt to alter factory settings. Altering factory settings could damage the unit and will void the warranty .
8 — English 2. Connect clear plastic hose to brass barb on pump (See Figure 2). 3. Secure garden hose (not included) to the inlet connection on pump (See Figures 3 and 4). PRE-OPERA TION UNP ACKING Remove the equipment and all parts from the carton.
English — 9 4. Connect the high pressure hose to the pump outlet (See Figure 4). 5. Attach the lance with nozzle to the gun (See Figure 5). 6. Install quick connect tip by pulling back on collar and pressing in tip. Release collar , make sure it completely returns to its forward position and tip is secure (See Figure 6).
10 — English PRE-OPERA TION TRIGGER SAFETY LA TCH In the engaged position, the trigger safety latch prevents the gun from being triggered accidentally . Pull the latch up to engage it (See Figure 9). AL WA YS engage the trigger safety latch when the unit is not in use.
English — 11 OPERA TION 1. Surface Preparation AL WA YS engage the trigger safety latch when unit is not in use. The following cleaning procedure will help you organize your cleaning task and ensures that you will achieve the best results in the shortest amount of time.
12 — English OPERA TION PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT Models 9032PW and 1340PW have a pressure adjustment knob located on the pump (see Figure 10). T urn the knob clockwise to increase the pressure. T urn the knob counter clockwise to decrease the pressure. DO NOT try and force the knob to turn.
English — 13 OPERA TION Spray water against a surface at a 45 degree angle to achieve the most beneficial impact force and to efficiently remove debris. DIST ANCE FROM CLEANING SURF ACE The distance between the spray nozzle and the cleaning surface is another factor that affects the impact force of the water .
14 — English OPERA TION GENERAL CLEANING TIPS 1. Apply the detergent so that it thoroughly covers the cleaning surface. Apply the detergent from bottom to top to prevent the detergent from sliding down and streaking. Wait a couple of minutes for the detergent to break down the dirt and grime.
English — 15 OPERA TION 3. Disconnect the water supply and high pressure hose from the pump. 4. Allow the engine to cool. 5. Disconnect the spark plug wire and remove the spark plug.
16 — English MAINTENANCE Observe regular maintenance intervals to ensure maximum performance and life from the pressure washer . Refer to the schedule for recommended maintenance. If you operate the pressure washer in dusty conditions, perform maintenance checks more often.
English — 17 MAINTENANCE CHECKING PUMP OIL AND PUMP OIL CHANGING Checking oil level: Most pumps have either a sight glass or a dipstick (or both) to check the pump oil level. The cor rect oil level is at the center of the sight glass (center of red dot).
