Using Y our System ➢ Unlocking Only after the vehicle is remotely started via the remote control, press and release the remote control button for 1 second to unlock the ve- hicle’ s doors. The parking lights will flash and the horn will honk twice to confirm unlock.
10 © 2009 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. ➢ Ignition Controlled Door Locks If power door locks have been connected to your system, the vehicle's doors will lock three seconds after the ignition has been turned On and unlock when the ignition is turned Off.

This makes it possible to warm up the engine, as well as adjust the interior temperature of the vehicle with the climate control system.
12 © 2009 Directed Electronics. All rights reserved. While the vehicle is running during remote start operation, the system will monitor the vehicle and will automatically shut down the engine if the system receives any of the following shut-down inputs: • Brake pedal is pressed.
